LIT Workshop is a custom fabrication shop that has been in business over 20 years.
We are looking for an experienced Shop Carpenter, who is comfortable working on a wide range of projects from custom furniture to cabinet assembly.

POSITION SUMMARY: Prepare parts for cabinetry or any other assemble project.
Follow client requirements as specified and ensure all work follows prints.
QC material and finished components and ensure all parts meet tolerances.
This is position where you will be working on a wide variety of projects and builds and occassional installations.
This position will be either M-TH, 4 x 10-hour shifts or Fri-Sun, 3 x 12-hour shifts.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS: Conceptual skills, process improvement, verbal communications, hand tool use, attention to detail, judgement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
2+ years of established woodworking experience building a wide range of projects.
Build and assemble parts in a production style facility to get large client orders shipped on time.
Able to understand and work from drawing packages and competently use measuring tools
Able to select correct hand and power tools and use with good and safe practices
Understanding of the following:
Sanding, Bondo and finish work
Cabinetry fabrication and assembly
Lay Up and other adhesive processes
Stains and finishes
Trim Carpentry
Techniques for repairing damaged pieces.
Assembly of main assemblies both finished and unfinished (laminate and/or paint)
Understanding of QC process and able to identify/correct any defects.
Regular attendance is required
Other duties as assigned by manager
