We are looking for a DAS/ERRC Inspection Technician to join our team!
DAS/ERRC is new division within our company and we are looking for the right people to help us expand and grow this exciting division at PSI!
As the ERRC Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspection and testing, of DAS/ERRCS equipment and related components for compliance with applicable life-safety and fire-safety requirements as mandated by standards and codes, manufacturers requirements, federal, state, and local ordinances, customer requirements, and the expectations and requirements of the company.
In this role you will:
Perform inspection and testing of all types of DAS/ERRC systems.
According to current codes
Assist and or perform troubleshooting and repair of all makes and models of DAS/ERRC systems
Assist with installation and commissioning of DAS/ERRC headend equipment including antennas, repeaters, head-end equipment, and other devices
Document all testing findings in accordance with NFPA and local requirements
Assist/coordinate with all forms of life safety system testing when DAS/ERRC work is not available
Evaluate customer site for additional equipment and services that customer may require
Assist sales with system design questions
Maintain timely and accurate work orders and test documentation
Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns
Interpret plans and drawings on new and existing ERRC systems
Work with electrical contractors to install new ERRC systems
Requirements:
FCC Grol license required
1 year of experience in testing of ERRC systems
Factory certification in at least one of the major ERRC manufacturers systems such as ADRF, Comba, Comscope
Valid state issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Able to follow oral and written directions
Ability to comply with safety requirements of the position and actively promote safe work practices
Self-motivated and ability to work independently
Knowledge of NFPA 1221, 1225
Knowledge of IFC section 510
Working Conditions:
Occasional exposure to working in high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration
The noise level is generally moderate
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
Frequently lift and carry toolboxes, tools, equipment, parts, cabling, and/or wiring
Must be able to push or pull up to 50 pounds
Frequent ladder climbing
Frequent work on rooftops or other high locations
