We are an innovative, Portland based, on-line, tile and stone company that deals with the interior design, construction, and and supply industries for commercial projects.
We are seeking highly organized and extremely detail-oriented individuals for an estimator position.
It is a full-time position with benefits (PTO, health/dental/vision insurance, 401k) You will be primarily responsible for estimating material costs and freight, submitting budgets and formal quotations to customers, PO processing, and maintaining records throughout the lifetime of a project in a team-oriented, fast paced, professional environment.

* Provide exceptional customer service always.
Make it a priority to be courteous, friendly, helpful, and prompt to our clients, vendors, guests, and teammates.
* Provide budgetary information to designers as requested.
* Prepare internal estimating sheets to record item cost, freight, import duties, and delivered pricing.
* Prepare and submit formal quotes through Netsuite for specified materials on projects as requested.
* Vendor and freight forwarder outreach as needed to verify cost and lead times.
* Document and record special or negotiated pricing for large or customized projects.
* Maintain project records by updating projected values, project timing, key project contacts, and any other helpful information.
* Sourcing stone, specialized and/or custom materials, and reviewing options with the Project Manager.
* Converting customer PO’s into sales orders * Follow up on expired quotes and projects on a regular basis.
* Notify Sample Specialist or Sales Assistant when samples are requested.
* Review all communications and requests with project management staff on a daily basis.
* Update staff / materials team when notified of discontinued products.
* Create projects, add contacts, update address changes and project statuses in Netsuite when notified.
* Participate in weekly sales meetings to discuss daily workload, objectives, challenges, and triumphs.
* Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures.
* Work safe always.
Follow all required safety guidelines including incident reporting procedures.
* All other duties as assigned.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phone, photocopier, filing cabinet and fax machine.
While performing the duties of this job, employee may occasionally attend corporate events or client meetings in other work environments such as warehouse, quarry, or construction site, etc.

*Required Education and Experience* * Associate’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience * Previous cost estimating / tile knowledge is a plus but not required.
