_AMS DATASERFS is seeking a talented and motivated individual looking to pursue a career as a Site Lead_ _LAB Technical Support Engineer.
We are seeking a candidate who has experience in Microsoft Windows technologies, is a self-starter and eager to learn and work in a large, complex environment.
_ _You will be working in a team that is responsible for maintaining a development environment for a fortune 50 company consisting of physical and virtual Windows servers, PC’s, Printers and Network Storage all connected through high-speed LAN or fiber network.
_ _The basic scope is to maintain the hardware and software in our labs as well as support the clients that access the servers.
_ _You will work with all the necessary fundamental network services like DNS, DHCP, SMB shares and directory services, and will also improve the environment through writing scripts.
You will be responsible for applying security patches and configuration changes within maintenance windows.
_ *Job Description* * Administer users, servers, virtual machines, and storage.
* Regular application installations, configurations, and day-to-day administration.
* Monitor Windows servers performance issues and stability concerns.
* Laptop imaging and end user support * Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise.
* Working with and troubleshooting all the following, including, but not limited to: AD, DNS, DHCP, RDP.
* Use knowledge of each of the above listed technologies related to the issue at hand.
* Work with permissions in Microsoft Servers.
* Oversee technical support tasks within the site, ensuring efficient operation and user satisfaction.
* Provide advanced technical assistance to end-users, resolving complex hardware and software issues.
* Manage and prioritize help desk requests and incident reports, ensuring timely resolution.
* Monitor and review completed tasks for compliance with industry and company standards.
* Perform regular risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
* Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures across the site.
* Mentor and coach technical support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
* Organize training sessions and seminars to keep the team updated with new technologies and best practices.
* Assist with network and server administration tasks as required.
* Educate end-users on technology usage and best practices, promoting a proactive approach to IT issues.
* Continuously work towards improving IT infrastructure and resources at the site.
* Perform regular IT audits to identify areas of weakness and implement fortification strategies.
* Ensure adherence to security protocols and regulations, safeguarding company data and information.
* Collaborate with other departments to align IT initiatives with company goals and visions.
* Prepare and submit regular reports to management, providing updates on IT operations at the site.
* Conduct research to discover new methods of improving IT functions within the department.
* Ensure protection of company data and information from unauthorized access.
* Oversee the repair, maintenance, and purchasing of all IT equipment at the site.
*Required Skills:* * This role emphasizes both technical expertise and leadership skills, with a focus on maintaining a high-performing IT environment at the site.
The specific duties and responsibilities may vary depending on the organization and its needs * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
* Minimum of 5 years Microsoft Windows administration.
MS Certs are a plus.
* Linux & network knowledge a plus * Dependable to be at work during assigned shifts and to complete work as expected.
* Effectively manage teams and projects * Technical Proficiency and Problem-Solving * Customer Service and Communication * Mentor and coach technical support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
* Ability to work well with a team in a fast paced, constantly changing environment and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues.
* Experience with documenting procedures.
* Able to Manage short and long term Projects * Experience with HYPERV is a plus.
* Be willing to work with and learn the latest Windows Server technologies as they are released and implemented.
*Optional Plus Skills:* * PowerShell debugging Job Type: Full-time Pay: $90,000.
