Job Description
-Job overview
To act as the trusted senior business partner to the Technology (CVD) Business Unit Directors and their teams in Ascot, California and Oregon with the support of your team of 4 by providing financial decision support and counsel.
To undertake the full scope of Technologies Management Reporting activities including shareholder reporting, Scorecards, Technical Decks, and actively participate as part of the Technologies (CVD) Leadership Team.
Preparation and consolidation of Technologies Budget and Forecasting activities including Revenue Projection, Cost Forecasts, and identifying risks and opportunities.
Provide Business Support for the Head of Sales and Marketing for Technologies to optimize the financial impact of commercial and innovation investment decisions.
Work with the Product Management Teams to develop the annual 5-year plans for both business units and innovations, reflecting any change in strategic direction and any associated impact on margins expected Opex and Capex.
Responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of Innovation projects, ensuring projects are prioritised, giving consideration to income, costs and impairments, and capital and balance sheet requirements.
Lead and Develop the CVD (Technologies) Finance Team to develop the team.
Drive standardization across Finance and being a key member of the Finance Leadership Team of E6.
Duties and tasks
Develop pricing strategy, tactics, and decisions
Partner with Head of Sales to structure new business proposals
Support to ensure product costings drive commercial behaviours
Long-term planning for margin optimisation
Contract modelling, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning to facilitate contract negotiations and review
Management of product mix
Provide monthly forecast updates
Provide weekly and monthly actual sales reports, by business unit and customer
Perform product and customer portfolio profit analysis
Manage and monitor the Short Interval Control Bonus scheme
Provide commercial data at Gate Reviews, reporting progress and ensuring due diligence of any assumptions made
Responsibility for optimisation of operating working capital, including inventory
Driving standardisation of finance processes in collaboration with the wider finance team
Ensuring Sales and Marketing costs are well controlled, including preparation of monthly Commercial and Marketing cost reporting.

Qualifications
-Experience working in a commercial environment
Ability to apply sound commercial judgement and demonstrate confidence in making recommendations to the business
Effective communicator across geographies and levels of a business
A qualified accountant who has previous experience in cost accounting would be an advantage
A good understanding of fundamental accounting principles
Works in a collaborative way with both business and finance colleagues
Strong sense of ownership
A positive attitude and enjoy working in a small team
How attention to detail and pride in their work
Have strong problem-solving skills
Experience in managing and developing a team
