The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Maintenance team members.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Job Duties Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems in an industrial establishment by performing the following duties.
Maintaining the day-to-day operations for all production and packaging equipment at Portland Bottling Company, to ensure the production of a safe and legal product intended for human consumption.
Enforce departmental policies and procedures, goals, objectives, and standards for work performance for all Maintenance personnel.
Supervise workers engaged in Maintenance / Electrical repairs.
Estimates quantities of materials needed to complete necessary repairs in a timely manner.
Coordinates activities concerned with dismantling, moving, installing, or repairing of machines and equipment.
Directs a preventative and corrective operations program to ensure efficiency and uninterrupted operation of the entire physical plant and all related operating equipment within the facility; plans and coordinates the repair or recommends the replacement of, or additions to, equipment or physical structures as needed and ensure that all operations are conducted following both employee safety and food safety procedures.
Recommends purchases of materials or products relevant to achieving the Maintenance department’s mission.
Completes daily timecard audits of all team members, assists with current or future scheduling to ensure the plant is staffed with Maintenance team members during all hours of operation.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Respectfully takes direction from Manager.
Other duties as assigned.

Analytical – the ability to use a logical reasoning process to break down and work through a situation or problem to arrive at an outcome.
Communication - ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Problem Solving Skills - ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Organizational Skills – the ability to efficiently manage your time, workload and resources to meet department objectives.
Qualification Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is typical of an office environment but is usually loud and temperatures will fluctuate from hot to cold depending on outside temperatures in our plants.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment.
Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, stoop kneel and reach with hands/arms.
Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds and walks, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within the plants.
