What you will do:
Responsible for the local delivery and execution of core HR services to employees and managers in accordance with Clarios Manufacturing System (CMS) principles, corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations.
Performs a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with company policies of a battery manufacturing facility.
How you will do it:
First point of contact for hourly employees.
Supports the entire staffing process including new hire orientation: primary point of contact with supervisors and staffing agencies, requests new associates to support production, handles new associate onboarding including safety training, processes associate timecards and approves staffing agency time/attendance and invoices for payment
Create and maintain personnel records.
Maintain required lists, reports and documentation, including electronic documentation, supporting Affirmative Action, Attendance, Compensation, Benefits, Leave, Payroll, Vacation, and Corrective Action.
Support administration of plant rules and collective bargaining agreement.
Ensure Plant compliance with Federal and State employment and Labor Laws
Conduct investigations for employee relations issues.
Provide training and support for e-tools, Workday, Sharepoint, and Performance Management.
Conduct employee training on policies, procedures and benefits.
Formulate and implement human resources projects
May influence and make recommendations to management.
Responsible for administrative support including employee engagement activities, meeting logistics, vendor arrangements, catering requirements, filing, copying, mailing, ordering supplies, etc.
Perform related duties as assigned
What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree required, concentration in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Political Science, Sociology, Business or related field preferred.
HR experience is required
3+ years’ experience as a human resources generalist in a manufacturing environment required
Demonstrated willingness to actively pursue continuing education related to field
Experience in Union environment preferred
