Reporting to the Chief Engineer in our maintenance department, the *Engineer* helps to keep all our outlets in the Woodlark Hotel building functioning properly.
These outlets include the Woodlark Hotel and multiple food & beverage establishments.
The Engineers in our maintenance department lead the charge on ensuring that both our guests and our team members have an operational, clean, and professional place to spend their time.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fulfilling the maintenance needs for the Woodlark Hotel and all the businesses within the building.
The position may require general housekeeping duties, preventative maintenance, repairing equipment, and completing in-unit maintenance and repairs.
This job involves regular and recurring work situations of a low to high degree of complexity.
*What you’ll do:* ● Troubleshoot and repair buildings and the facilities’ installed systems, plumbing systems, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC.
● Support the operation and maintenance of HVAC equipment, plumbing, and all other types of building systems.
● Use computerized controls, meters, and gauges to ensure that, from the time they start until the time they shut down, the building equipment operate safely.
● Request bids from vendors and third parties.
● Complete indoor and outdoor building services, such as pressure washing, sweeping, changing lightbulbs, painting, and similar duties as needed.
● Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
● Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations.
● Possess and apply competent knowledge about the use and care of tools and equipment necessary for facility and grounds maintenance.
● Respond immediately and professionally to emergency situations and customer concerns.
● Inspect grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
● Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
● Maintain and operate life safety and fire systems.
● Perform welding, carpentry, and snow removal as needed.
● Comply with all applicable laws, codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations.
● Practice safe work habits.
● Perform other related duties or responsibilities as required or needed ● Capable of completing preventative maintenance tasks that require a high skill level.
● Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
*What we require:* ● High school diploma or GED equivalent, or the equivalent of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
● At least three (3) years of trade-related experience.
● Demonstrate high level of customer service and conduct business in a professional, courteous, and appropriate manner.
● Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor and encourage other employees to do the same.
● Have a proven record of providing excellent internal and external verbal and written communication.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
● Demonstrate an acute attention to detail.
● Ability to work effectively independently and as a team.
● Ability to use and access the company’s electronic information, timecard, email, and communication programs.

The typical environment is a busy hotel with variable room temperatures, sufficient lighting, and common office equipment.
