About the job: The Remote Project Design Manager role demands candidates who are great managers of people, process, and projects, with a record of success in cultivating positive and productive partnerships.
As a Remote Project Design Manager, you will be leading multiple projects throughout the United States.
This position requires navigating complex design work and stakeholder engagement, teaming with other skilled professionals to gather critical input, problem solving, and deliver projects through completion milestones on behalf of our clients.

What you'll do: Provide design management, technical direction, decision-making and overall direction for Client’s industry-leading datacenter designs.
Oversee delivery of greenfield, brownfield and retrofit engineering / design projects through site due diligence, design, permitting and construction administration phases through turnover to Operations within Client’s established scope, schedule, and budget.
Engage with key Client internal stakeholder groups and external vendors—including architects, engineers, and designers—who specialize in datacenter architecture and engineering.
Manage Client internal and external resources to align building, power, cooling, telecom and controls infrastructure designs in alignment with datacenter capacity roadmap.
Facilitate problem solving and solutions to enable Client’s datacenters to incorporate new technology and operational processes / procedures.
Oversee multiple, concurrent, complete datacenter design solutions in the Americas.
Collaborate and cross-train with Otak internal team members to improve efficiency, quality and delivery of Client’s project portfolio.
Work remotely 95% of the time.
Travel to projects sites may be probable.
What you bring: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 7 years' experience as a Project Manager in architecture, engineering, construction management or related technical program management required or 10+ years' experience as a Project Manager for mission critical or high-tech industry construction projects preferred.
Professional registration / certification is highly preferred.
Possess a high level of proficiency in commercial and industrial architecture/engineering, with strong technical understanding of electrical and mechanical systems relating to construction of mission critical environments, or other advanced technology facilities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical groups in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking, frequent process/procedure changes while managing multiple projects.
Experienced with managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Proficient in conducting remote meetings via Microsoft Teams.
A passion to bring together high-performing, collaborative teams focused on executing projects effectively.
