Job Duties
Develops and improves systems as they relate to customer requirements and corporate goals, including order processing, capacity loading, capacity allocation, material movement and material disposition systems.
Analyzes production capacities (machine and manpower) to ensure order fulfillment.
Reviews material status against plan and notifies appropriate persons of at-risk orders.
Recommends and makes adjustments to schedules requiring complex problem solving skills and prioritizing of customer needs vs.
available capacity.
Balance plan and reschedule as needed to optimize production output.
Monitors orders and provides order status information to field sales and customers until product ships.
Coordinates appropriate order correction and schedule correction as required.
Assists with the installation of new processes.
Gathers data and conducts tests to ensure conformance to specifications.
Manages inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials needed to meet production goals and meets current company directives.
Coordinates resolution of complex system problems affecting multiple departments (i.
e.
, Manufacturing areas, Tech Services, Accounting, Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, IS).
Collects and tracks performance measures and prepares management reports.
Tracks OTD performance and prepares management reports using advanced statistical methods.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in manufacturing production planning or scheduling.
Knowledge of company manufacturing processes, production capacities, order management, product parameters, and quality systems.
Ability to handle increasingly complex issues over time and acquire knowledge of specific customer needs and production capabilities.
Excellent computer skills using spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software with high degree of accuracy.
Great interpersonal skills.
Effectively works with peers in a team focused environment.
Technical math skills essential to calculate capacities, schedules, inventory balances, and prices.
Adheres to company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to work accurately with attention to detail and able to meet strict deadlines.
Demonstrated planning, organizational, and project management skills.
Willing to work overtime as required.
Desired Skills/Education/Experience
Associate’s Degree preferred
Prefer advanced skills in Excel, including the capability to debug and program macros
