General Description of Position: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Systems and Network Administrator to become an integral part of Next Adventure’s technology team.
In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for our Microsoft cloud services including Office 365, Teams and Azure services.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining on-premises systems and networks, including our Ubiquity access points and switches and Sonic Firewall solutions.
Essential Jobs Functions: Design, implement and maintain our Azure-based infrastructure, including virtual machines, networks, and storage solutions.
Ensure compliance with adopted best practices and security standards, such as Microsoft’s Secure Score tools and guidelines.
Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-effectiveness.
Support other IT administrated SaaS-based solutions on Azure Services.
Network administration.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient network architectures at each of our locations and in the cloud that meet or exceed business demands.
Maintain and optimize our Ubiquity switching and Wi-Fi systems in office, warehouse and retail environments – where dependence on Wi-Fi connected equipment is business-critical for daily operations.
Plan and perform lifecycle replacements of networking equipment.
Coordinate with third-party vendors for low voltage wiring installation and repair.
Systems Administration Design, implement, and maintain end-user computer and mobile endpoints using tools such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Configuration Manager, and Microsoft Intune.
Perform system maintenance and optimization to assure availability and performance.
Install and configure application and operating system software, new releases, and upgrades.
This includes evaluating and installing patches and resolving software related problems limited to functionality provided by the software vendor.
Coordinate and apply security patches to enterprise systems.
Participate in mitigating security risks on enterprise systems for data security and privacy compliance.
Develop and execute plans for the management and deployment of user devices, ensuring seamless integration with the company's IT infrastructure.
Provide advanced support for Microsoft Teams-based POTs telephony via direct routing and ensure seamless operation of meeting spaces connected to Microsoft Teams Rooms and external displays.
Travel to our retail sites for project implementations as needed.
Provide budgetary guidance for upcoming projects and annual budget planning.
Develop and maintain a robust knowledgebase aimed at minimizing support requests.
Develop internal IT documentation.
Provide technical training and oversight of IT liaisons at each retail location.

Requirements: Qualifications: Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred.
5+ years managing enterprise systems and networks.
2+ years managing Azure environments.
Ideal requirements: Experience with administration of online Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online.
Experience with administration of local Microsoft Active Directory domains required.
Experience with administration tools including Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, PowerShell, and direct remote client support.
Understanding of concepts behind Microsoft Entra ID Conditional Access policies and SAML SSO for third-party applications required.
Administrative knowledge of Windows Server, Windows Client, Android, and iOS/iPadOS devices required.
Must have strong troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Be on-call for emergencies that result in significant downtime.
Be willing to travel to various store locations when required including: Sandy, Portland, and Warren.
Mileage reimbursement provided by the employer.
Have the ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, run wire in awkward or tight spaces, crawl under desks, and other physical tasks related to common IT maintenance or deployment.
