Position Overview: Reviews drawings, change orders, and other engineering data to prepare and maintain master parts listings, catalogs, and other documentation used for material requisitioning and disbursement, inventory control, production planning, scheduling, and related manufacturing activities by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions: Issue and maintain document numbers to engineers upon request based on LifePort standards.
Create new item numbers in the company inventory system when requested and creating complete and consistent descriptions.
Create preliminary parts and documentation in support of Engineering and Sales for FAA approved data, First Article, 8110 Approval, and Data Only projects Create new compilations of data for First Article, 8110 Approval, and Data Only projects Examine and evaluate engineering documentation for conformance to current LifePort standards.
Initiate requests for changes to ensure compliance with standards.
Prepare and maintain manual or computerized record inventory systems.
Release engineering documents to the appropriate locations for access by all authorized departments and organizations Review engineering data and compile lists of materials, parts, and equipment required for manufacturing products.
Certify quotes, sales orders, and work orders for Customer Service, Sales, and Quality Control departments to determine whether or not prospective parts are approved per FAA approved data, and decide if an activity is required before products can be shipped to the customer Job specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required Excellent communication both written and verbal Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) ERP or MRP experience is required Ability to mentor individuals on configuration management processes Education, Certifications and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent 10+ Years of Experience in Configuration Management Physical Demands and Work Environment: Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
