*Job Description*
*Job Overview:*
Responsible for CNC programming to manufacture products that meet engineering requirements.
Participates in continuous improvement projects that will result in reliable and cost-effective production, improve machine capacity, and meet or beat cost targets.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conduct oneself in accordance with CET’s Core Values.
* Perform CNC programming activities, to meet part definition requirements, including machine tooling, fixture design, and CNC job set-up related processes.
* Provide support for ongoing continuous improvement activities to reduce part variance, scrap, and increase throughput.
* Provide input and participate in the process planning and creation of new part production.
Estimate part run times and tool related costs.
* Work across all necessary functional departments to establish countermeasures as needed to enable the delivery of quality products on time.
* Review job specifications, blueprints, and engineering requirements to ensure compliant parts.
*Mandatory Qualifications:*
* Associate’s Degree in a Technology Field or equivalent experience.
* Academic and practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.
* Proficiency in Blueprint reading and application of GD&T.
* Thorough knowledge in the use of CAD/Solid Modeling software such as SolidWorks, or other.
* Ability to create, analyze and modify CAD/CAM programs in MasterCam or HyperMill.
* Ability to verify CNC programs using verification software such as Vericut.
* Experience machining a variety of metals such as: Aluminum, Titanium, Stainless, Inconel.
* Previously established track record of achievement in manufacturing and problem solving.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Extensive hands-on machine experience working in a machine shop with a wide variety of CNC machines.
* Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and specifications.
* Knowledge of configuration and change management processes.
* Knowledge of ISO based Quality Systems.
* Strong Computer skills in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
)
