Hello future roomie(s), I’m Kelly and I am looking for an unfurnished room to rent in a house preferably.
I’m a 66-year-old, very responsible gay male(he/him) and a native of Portland.
I’m coming out of taking 2 1/2 years to get life together again after a divorce of 28 years.
I rented a little house at 6315 N Denver Ave and have lived solo($2,666 per month) during that time of reset.
I’ve decided that my new start will be somewhere out of the Portland area but not until around the end of 2025(1 1/2 years).
The reason for the delay is, that I was scheduled to relocate last November but a divorce issue surprised me at the end of last summer and I had to part with $20K in cash.
The divorce had been final for 3 years so this totally blindsided me.
That money was slated for my relocation plus some.
I’ve decided to buckle down and focus on my business in an attempt to re-bank that $20K by Oct/Nov of 2025.
I’m in the process of significantly downsizing and simplifying my life to accomplish my goal.
I am retired and collecting my social security while running a small business out of a commercial space in the Kenton Neighborhood with a lease through Jan 1, 2025, so I'd prefer to stay close to that area.
I have a Pride Festival booth in July this year and there will be long days and nights ahead making products to sell there.
This is the main reason I’m seeking a room vs an apartment I don’t feel I’ll be home enough to utilize.
My business hours are 10-6 m-f with later eves and weekends more frequent now as I gear up for a busy summer, hopefully.
I’m a major creative with multiple hobbies usually going at the same time.
Right now I’m enjoying producing dance music, DJing(not as much lately) digital art, woodworking, and leatherwork.
I usually try and get in bed around 10 pm and most times up by 5-6 am.
I’ve stayed in Portland because it’s the PNW with all our lakes, mountains, oceans, rivers, and more, and when I’m lucky enough for free time you can find me out somewhere in my tent or out on my paddle board.
I don’t drink or use drugs but I am 420 friendly.
As I mentioned, I am a small business owner.
My business is not for everyone, but it is my passion and I hope my future housemate(s) have at least one also.
My website is www.

Here are a few pictures of the home I’m living in now.
I have sold most of the furniture for the downsizing and simplifying of my life and what’s being kept will be stored for the next 36ish months.
Thank you in advance for your time,
Kelly
