ccb# 189688, deq# 38877 Bob 503 459 3587 Why pick level on the level? 1.
70% of my work for a season/year is from past customers or word of mouth referral.
I do not use business cards.
2.
30% of the people I work for invite me back for a barbecue or dinner.
3.
I am on the job from start to finish, I come to meet you for a free estimate and if you choose me, I am the only person you will deal with.
The buck stops with me.
4.
All the inspectors know me and like to come onto my work sites.
Septic, electric, plumbing, building inspector, {wood decks}.
4.
5.
24-hour water test for new tank replacement.
I am usually on site when the inspector shows up for the 24-hour water test.
The 24-hour test means the customer cannot use the bathroom, sinks, etc.
I schedule my inspections based on the county inspection schedule to minimize customer down time.
5.
I deal with the owners of the companies that I get my materials from.
Except rock, the quarry owners are a little hard to get a hold of.
Our concrete tanks are delivered by the owner of the company and he looks forward to seeing me on the job site.
6.
I have gotten a $1,000.
00 tip and a $3,000.
00 tip.
But the best tip is when I get a call from a new customer who was referred to me by a past customer.
7.
Not much I have not seen.
But I am not afraid to say, "I do not know the answer to your question and will have to go look up what I can find out about your situation.
8.
Most important is that I am not right for everyone.
If you are not interested in old world craftsmanship, if you are offended by long hair and a full beard, best you find another company as there are many, but not 1 quite like mine.
Bob Radon, a silent killer, is here in Beavercreek.
The maps the county guys have do not really help.
The easiest way to find out if your property has radon is to check.
A $125 meter that is easy to set up is available on line.
We found our daylight basement was 3 times the safe level.
In our situation, the radon came up thru the cracks in the concrete slab.
It was an easy fix for us, as we had most of the tools and knowledge to do the work.
After the work was done, it took a few days to get into the safe level.
Most old farts like us can do the work, it's pretty simple for a diy person.
Basically, you have to find the worst spot, drill a 4-inch hole to fit a 4-inch abs pipe, {plastic}.
Bring the pipe up either inside the house or alongside the outside, Install the fan, best if in the house.
{electric work} We were lucky as there was an electric outlet where the fan needed to be in the antic.
Run the pipe up past the roof and install a top hat on the pipe.
We run ours 24/7 & no more radon.
If you live on Fellows, from Upper Highland down before the curve to go down, you may want to write me.
It ain't like we are looking for work.
We do not even like working inside a home.
But this radon is very real, it is here in our home, and I wish we had known about it 22 years ago when we bought the farm.
