Loan Specialist Reports to: Lending Manager Updated 5/9/2023 Responsibilities: Fulfill all new loan application requests and follow through with closing/booking and servicing loans.
Review recently booked loan files to ensure all documents have been obtained, saved accordingly, and comply with lending policies/ procedures.

, automatic payments are set up.
Process title applications for all secured loans, including real estate deeds.
Process all reconveyance requests on real estate loans and properly sign off/release other collateralized products.
Track and review pending title files, follow up on member files with the department of motor vehicles.
Outbound calls/ seek additional business via /cross-selling.
Schedule appointments and assist members with Financial and Credit Counseling.
Ensure proper documentation has been received and recorded for all vendor products such as GAP/MRC/Credit Life/Credit Disability, assist with filing and following through with member claims.
Be the primary point of contact for all loan/credit product inquiries, issues, and research requests.
Schedule appointments with members and ensure files are as prepared as possible to enhance the member experience.
Answer direct phone line to ensure timely member communications.
Assist the operations team with the main line phone overflow when available.
Assist with product knowledge and training as needed with the front-line operations team.
Complete all assigned training courses, including certifications and notary application.
Be a team player and help others when time permits.
Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements: Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Must be able to occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds across office and load onto shelves for various needs.
