Takamine EAN-10C Acoustic Guitar, Natural Finish, Made in Japan Japanese made Takamine EAN10C.
Electric Acoustic Natural series.
Excellent build quality and tone.
Plays and sounds great.
I added a thin clear cling-on flamenco pick guard, which has minimized any pick rash on the beautiful natural satin finish.
This is easily removed if desired.
There are some small dings on the face (pictured).
The built in CT4B II Preamp is designed for use only in Pro Series Takamine guitars made in Japan.
Consists of 3 bands of graphic EQ tone control, a volume control slider and a built-in chromatic tuner.
(more info at https://www.
takamine.
com/pre-amps) As a bonus, I have upgraded the tuning peg mechanisms on this guitar with Sperzel Trim-Lok custom locking tuning machines.
I’ve done this upgrade with a dozen or more guitars, as Sperzels are the best in the business.
This is a $100+ upgrade.
Since there is no tying or winding of the string on the Sperzel Trim-Lok, this stabilizes tuning.
There is less stretching of the string because you have taken the slack out by pulling tightly when starting.
Also, the string does not have to seat itself.
I’ll also include the original Takamine tuners, which are good quality tuners in their own right, but the Sperzels are an exceptional upgrade.
Includes a nice original Takamine guitar case in good used condition.
I'll take the ad down once it has been sold, so if you're reading this it's still for sale.
Local pickup only.
No deliveries.
Will not ship.
Cash only.
Additional information about The Takamine Natural Series (from Takamine web site) Acoustic sound set free.
The Takamine Natural Series was conceived to give you the biggest and widest acoustic sound possible.
Solid cedar tops, solid mahogany back and sides, a thin satin finish and no pickguard - anything that could possibly impede the vibration of the soundboard was purposely left out.
The theory works.
Naturals are so alive with sound that they nearly jump out of your hands.
The clean and simple approach of the Naturals has been imitated by other makers, but nothing yet has compared to the purity of style - and sound - of the original.
Dreadnought Body Shape Solid Cedar top Mahogany back and sides Rosewood Finger Board Satin Natural Finish Scalloped bracing Gold with Amber Pearloid hardware Made in Japan A beautifully made guitar that shows a lot of attention to detail.
The first striking thing about the Takamine EAN10 is that the top is made of solid cedar instead of the much more common spruce.
The grain of the cedar is clean and the wood is attractive through the natural satin finish, which also contributes to its loud and open sound.
The EAN10's rosewood bridge has split saddles.
Additionally, the strings are routed through the end of the bridge instead of being fitted down through the bridge and top.
This bridge design is said to move the top more than the string-through-body bridge, resulting in a louder, projecting sound.
The rosette around the sound hole is made of wood, and there is similar wood detailing around the body of the guitar.
The body is bound in a tasteful ivory plastic binding.
The sides, back and neck of the EAN10 are made from solid mahogany, which is satin-stained a reddish color.
The construction materials and quality of the EAN10 are first rate.
The two-piece mahogany back has a very thin ivory-looking strip between the halves.
The guitar's neck is 25.
5-inch in scale and is 1.
69 inches wide at the nut.
The neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard.
The smooth-feeling, gold tuning machines have amber pearloid knobs.
