Up for sale is this fully functional Tascam Porta 02 four track cassette recorder.
Whether you want to dip your feet into analog recording or give your digital recordings some warmth by bouncing them onto cassette, this little unit will do the trick! Given their age, many of the old cassette machines you’ll find these days will have their issues.
This machine was non-funcional when I got it.
I’ve restored several of these units for use in my own studio and did the same work on this one.
I’ve just gone through it and repaired everything.
Replaced old capacitors, fixed the tape transport, cleaned the tape heads fixed the tape door, the list goes on.
I’ve put a lot of time and attention into this to ensure it will be ready for years more of recording.
