Here's a rare one - a very limited run amp handwired and signed by Joe Morgan.
Fewer than 20 of this model were made, which is a shame because they truly are something special.
From the earlier years when the quality of Joe's work was second to none and he was still busting ass to make a name for himself.
The TV-12 blends Fender tweed and Vox style sounds to make something new that still feels familiar.
The clean tones in this amp are life-changing: warm, articulate, touch sensitive, tons of depth, and plenty of headroom for use as a pedal platform.
Easily the best cleans I've heard from an amp that costs less than a house.
Turning it up into breakup territory leans toward the tweed side but with a tighter bottom end and a somewhat smoother overall character.
The single tone knob lets you match the amp to any guitar while preserving its unique sound.
Its spring reverb can be subtle or lush depending on your tastes.
Has its original 12" Celestion Greenback speaker, also equipped with an ext out jack to drive a secondary cab.
The power tubes (2 x 6V6) are a matched pair of vintage NOS Brimar 6V6GTY.
They are among the very best power tubes money can buy and they're a perfect fit in this circuit.
Rectifier tube swapped for a Weber WZ34 copper cap (drop in GZ34 substitute) but I'm happy to change it back to the JJ GZ34 it came with if you'd prefer.
The copper caps are great though, no change in tone/feel but the power transformer doesn't have to work as hard = longer component life.
The amp is in VG to excellent condition with just a couple of small blemishes in the covering (largest one on the back right corner, pictured up close).
FYI, the reverb circuit is a vintage-style design that is dead quiet at lower settings but introduces some noise at higher ones - only noticeable when the reverb is turned up and the amp volume is very low, not a common scenario.
I'm only letting this go because I've been playing/recording at night and need to stick with my silent modeling rig for the foreseeable future.
Cash only (no payment apps, please), reasonable offers considered.
For trades, I'd consider the following: - A great playing telecaster with non-gloss neck finish, medium jumbo frets or bigger, and a modern radius.
Prefer a humbucker at the neck (or at least a humbucker rout) and stainless frets.
- Tom Anderson with big stainless steel frets and the Even Taper or Happy Medium neck profile (no added thickness) or Suhr guitars with similar neck specs - Vigier guitars with Floyd Rose Willing to take cash on top of a lower valued trade but not interested in trades that need cash from me.
Will meet in a safe public location, happy to go somewhere with power so you can confirm function before purchasing.
Thanks for looking!
