This is a Guild F-240E from the Westerly Collection.
It features Guild’s archback design, which eliminates back braces in favor of a concave laminate back, resulting in increased bass response, enhanced volume and sustain, and a rich, full sound.
This thing is a cannon, and one of the best sounding guitars in my collection.
I didn’t like the original pick guard, so I took a tracing from a ‘70s F-50 and made a new one.
I’ve also had it professionally set up, and it plays very comfortably.
Right now it’s set up with D’Addario EJ17 .
013s, which really help drive the top to it’s full potential, but it sounds great with .
012’s as well.
The satin polyurethane finish is really thin and light, almost as if there’s no finish at all.
Overall, the condition is very good, but there are some chips in the finish at the headstock.
I’m kind of hesitant to sell this, but I’ve collected a lot more guitars than I can reasonably play, and I’m selling off the extras to fund the purchase of one high end acoustic.
Comes with a hardshell case.
