*MECHANICS SPECIAL*
This van runs and drives, but has a blown head gasket and misfire in cylinder 3.
Now that’s out of the way.
I’m selling my 2001 Ford E150.
The good:
Runs/drives.
Starts great.
Currently has 164310 miles on a 4.
6l V8
Tags till 2025
Tranny shifts great, was told the rear end was done at 120k ish.
Kenwood DVD/cd reciever.
Power locks/windows
Cruise control
Clifford alarm
Seats swapped from early 2000s Honda CRV
pretty clean body and paint for what it is, swapped the grill&bumper from my previous 95 e150
Work done in the last 12k miles: rear main seal, fuel pump, fuel filter, front&rear brakes
Now the Bad:
Passenger window switch is broken
Head gasket is blown near cylinder 4 that leaks oil on the rear passenger side of the motor.
This is a defect in this era of 4.
6/5.
4 v8.
There is an updated head gasket that eliminates the problem.
Along with the blown head gasket, cylinder 3 is misfiring.
I bought a new van and selling this one with the repairs in mind.
I was quoted $3700 from a local shop to replace both head gaskets.
Hence the asking price of $2500
Cheers
