This lovely and reliable 2002 Chevy Express G2500 is a rock solid converted camper van with lots of room for your customizations! It has a clean title and detailed maintenance records from myself and the most recent previous owner.
It was insulated with both foam board and spray foam by the last owner, and does a great job keeping the moisture and weather at bay.
Mechanically rock solid, I haven't had a single issue.
Engine runs strong and starts up quickly every time.
Tires + brake pads/rotors/shoes replaced 4k miles ago.
Front and rear AC will freeze you out.
Rear wheel drive, but with these meaty tires it does great on dirt roads to trailheads! The camper features: The floor is super pretty, comprised of wood planks (that go under the rug too, up to just behind front seats).
They look great now, or stain them for a luxury feel! Basic wooden ceiling.
Full size bed beyond sturdy, horizontal 1” square steel tubing welded to the body with sturdy plywood as the base.
If you are under 6ft tall, sleeping side to side is comfy.
If you're super tall, there is a 2ft extension that folds out and secures over the bench to sleep lengthwise (thus queen size).
The bench in front of the bed is the same boxed tubing.
The vertical tubing you see behind the bench are part of the bench, if you remove the bench under the bed becomes wide open with no vertical supports allowing for huge carrying/storage capacity.
There is a plastic drawer system that wedges perfectly under the bed in the rear for storage.
They can be taken out if you desire wide open underneath.
Various roof racks on top, with a light bar that makes a dark forest seem like day.
Variety of fairy lights & string lights on the ceiling for those good moods.
Blackout curtains to just behind the front sheets, and there are blackout panels for all rear/side windows that velcro on.
Mechanical: New battery 6 months ago.
Tires + front brake pads/rotors replaced 4,000 miles ago.
Rear brake shoes replaced 5500 miles ago.
Full records since 79k miles.
Zero leaks.
The issues: The passenger and side sliding doors can only be opened from the inside.
This likely means a clip that holds a rod in place has broken and needs replacement, dirt cheap.
Worst case new latches are $40 front and $150ish sliding.
The windshield gasket needs to be replaced soon.
Body: Paint is in average condition overall.
Much of it looks great, but there's chipped areas throughout (most significantly roof and roof line, plus a few on the hood and rear doors).
Spots on the roof have very surface level rust, not deep at all.
The only dent is a shallow crease dent, driveside by gas door.
Interior: Clean! Seats are free from significant stains, driver side has one small rip at a seam but otherwise great shape.
Original cloth front ceiling very clean.
Carpet very clean.
Dash looks wonderful, no cracks.
Door panels in great shape.
